BillableCompass for Jira: know your project's true margin before the invoice
Budget-burn and margin forecasting for agencies running Jira — one view, without stacking three separate Tempo add-ons to get there.

4 quick questions, about 30 seconds. No card, no account. In development.
What it will do
- Pull logged time, budget, and capacity data from Jira/Tempo and turn it into a running burn-rate and margin forecast per project — e.g. "at this pace, this project blows budget in 11 days, margin drops to X%."
- One dashboard, refreshed automatically as time is logged — no manual spreadsheet rebuild per project.
- Read-only against Jira and Tempo — doesn't touch permissions, budgets, or logged time.
What it won't do at launch — honestly
- Doesn't replace time logging — you still log hours in Tempo or native Jira worklogs; BillableCompass reads that data, it doesn't capture it.
- No invoicing or client billing in v1 — forecasting only.
- The forecast model at launch is a straight-line burn-rate projection, not a full probabilistic model with confidence bands — that's a stated roadmap item, not a day-one feature.
- Requires Jira/Tempo admin access to connect; a short setup step, not instant.
Why this exists
Getting from raw logged hours in Jira to a margin forecast today means stacking three
separate Tempo products: Tempo Timesheets, Tempo Capacity Planner (which tracks plan-vs-actual,
not a forward-looking forecast), and the Tempo Financial Manager add-on for cost/revenue
projection — each priced separately on tempo.io's own pricing pages and the Atlassian
Marketplace listing for Tempo Budgets (checked August 2026). BillableCompass is a single tool
aimed at agencies who want the forecast without buying and configuring all three.
$299 / month, intended launch price
